Getting you back in your own Back Yard.
There have been many great inventions designed in mans quest to make their lives easier. Many have now established themselves as irreplaceable. This is particularly so in the field of gardening and landscaping which once required several man hours and a whole lot of sweat and tears just to get the preparation right.
One such invention is the rototiller. You can find rototillers for sale at any of the larger plant nurseries or landscaping supply shops. This useful machine has angled metal arms called tines that are attached to either the front or the back of the machine that dig into the soil, and wheels on the opposite end which push or pull it along. It is used for preparing soil for such things as new garden establishment, large area landscaping and aerating lawns.
The very first machines were quite different to the rototillers for sale today.
They require much less effort to operate and most run on fuel such as two- stroke, where as the older style machines relied on the strength and control of the operator. There are 3 main types of rototillers available depending on the job you are doing. The front tine model works well in the preparation of garden beds with lighter, sandier soil where the rear tine model has longer more powerful tines that make light work of heavy clay ground.
They are an ideal machine when you are considering a larger landscaping job. The third model is a smaller version of the front tine model and is sometimes called a mini cultivator. This model is a popular choice for the older gardener as it is much easier to manoeuvre in smaller areas. You will often find these rototillers for sale second-hand in the classifieds section of the local paper.
